I think a lot of Blondie and Tuco’s interactions can be rephrased as

Blondie: *stares into the middle distance like he’s on The Office*

thoughts on blondie's friendship to tuco in GBU 😀

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm (that’s me thinking)

So this might be a bit long so it’s going under the thing

The thing is, I’m hesitant to call this a friendship more than I’d call it a like um…like a business partnership? Where there’s gains and losses and the foundation of their relationship rests on that alone.

Canon thoughts are that they go from working together, to dealing with each other, to calling a truce. I think in all likelihood that they wouldn’t have had any other contact with each other after that little road trip of theirs and that’s that.

Headcanon thoughts are that they both just don’t trust each other but are in the same boat in that they don’t entirely trust anyone else so that brings them into a sort of mutual understanding. And they both *know* that. So even though to keep up appearances they’d turn on the other, or maybe tell half truths, there’s always a half hearted attempt to reconcile their working relationship, even if that means not completely throwing the other under the bus.
