Sorry to disturb you, princess.
Clint Eastwood attends a press event with Paul Brinegar promoting Rawhide, c. 1960s
All this beautiful old stuff i receive lately. this time it’s a book from the rawhide series from 1962 in very good condition and i absolutely love it (as a fan and graphic designer)!
it’s that kind of book i’ve always wanted when i was a child and never got it but now!
it has beautiful comic illustrations alongside the stories and i’m curious about the them, haha. the first one has Rowdy waking up early in the morning seeing a white horse – he catches it and names him/her Morning Star.
Got it from ebay UK. I don’t think we have had much of Rawhide stuff in Germany except the overpriced dvds
(god i hate it costs so much). Rawhide was on television here in the 90s first i think i’ve read somewhere. At a time when western was already dead. what a shame…
In case someone wants to see more footage of dishevelled Rowdy in “Incident at Dangerfield Dip” 🙂
I didn’t realize that Primm and Nipton were real places, somehow. Or that Primm really has a rollercoaster. Thanks, FNV.
I just drove from LA to Vegas. Saw the Mojave. Saw a sign for a street called “Yates Well Road” (Rawhide people), as well as a street (town? Community?) named “Zzyzx”.
According to the map, there’s a spot named “Valjean” not too far off. I say “spot” because here doesn’t seem to actually be anything there at all.
I forgot to mention that around this spot, or maybe up to 70 miles before, a tumbleweed literally rolled into my path as I was driving and I hit it (it just burst into pieces)
